Granite Guild’s has a purchase agreement for the property at 834 Lancaster Road. This will become the Groveton Community Center & Food Pantry to serve the needs of the people of Northumberland and surrounding communities within Coos County, New Hampshire. The building needs to be gutted to the bare studs, floor joists, and rafters so we can then do a mold abatement, then dehumidifier, sump pump, whole house fan, refurbish furnace, French drains, doors, flooring, insulation, drywall and paint along with an ADA compliant ramp to the front door. Currently we are working on the financing but we are $15,000 short and need to raise those fund quickly. Please click the Donations page link above to donate.
The University of New Hampshire Coos Extension is working with Granite Guild, Granite State Market Match, New Hampshire Food Bank, USDA, a major corporate (to be announced soon) and others to establish a first-of-a-kind Food Pantry to serve individuals and families in need within the community. Part of our effort will be participating in a gleaning program to provide fresh produce for public distribution.
