Community Center & Food Pantry

Granite Guild’s has purchased the property at 834 Lancaster Road. This will become the Groveton Community Center & Food Pantry to serve the needs of the people of Northumberland and surrounding communities within Coos County, New Hampshire. The building will be undergoing a thorough renovation doing mold abatement, redesign of the floor layout, insulation, flooring, heating, electrical, plumbing, new deck, ADA compliant ramps, upgrade exterior, redoing the parking lot, and landscaping.

Granite Guild intends to install greenhouses to conduct vertical hydroponic gardening to provide fresh produce to the Food Pantry on a year round basis. We intend to partner with the University of New Hampshire, 4H and SAU58 for the operation of the greenhouse program and to provide mentoring opportunities. We will be utilizing bar coding and an online shopping cart that will provide mentoring in inventory control.

Granite Guild projects a $60,000 budget for renovations and a $40,000 budget for the greenhouse project.
